"Hurt" by Johnny Cash

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-m_VBR8XZYI&feature=related

This video "Hurt" by Johnny Cash is a Country music video looking back on Johnny Cash's life, going through what he has and hasn't done. This is represented in the video by the flash backs of Johnny Cash's life, for example; his walking and looking into a old run down house when he was younger, which looks like the one he could of grown up in. This video also represents the sorrow of his life, for what he has and hasn't done, he was has gained and what he has lost. This is shown also through the flash backs and also the sorrow shines through with the fact he is sitting in a empty house by himself with a lot of objects around like food and awards, making it seem that even through he has got and achieved so much he still is hurt. The only part of the video which is the opposite, at the time to, what the song is Johnny Cash's wife June who in the video is standing above him, watching over him like he isn't alone. Now the fact that June is in the video is more representative because she died while the music video was being made. I think this is why June is edited in the part of the song where Johnny Cash sings 'Everyone I know goes away in the end.' This brings the sorrow and grief back to the video, relating to the song, by the end of the video where Johnny Cash is playing the piano, plays the last note then closes the piano, rubbing his hand over it. This represents the end of the song, June's life, his music caress life and his own as he dead shortly after this video was shot.

"Crazy in Love" by Beyonce

The Beyonce video of 'Crazy in Love' is a R'n'B video representing the sexiness and craziness of what being crazy in love/ what R'n'B today is. This video shows a good representation of how the lyrics can link into what video. For example when Beyonce sings 'I look and stare so deep into your eyes' at the beginning of the video she is looking directly into the camera, contacting with the audience and the camera making the audience straight away feel contacted to the video. This also the sexiness of the video. Another example of the sexiness in the video through what Beyonce wears; red heels with short denim shorts, showing a lot of skin. Sexiness is also shown when Beyonce does her famous 'booty shake' to the camera. Also in this section of the music video she is wearing street wear which is very reliable to the R'n'B music and the audience that enjoys her music. In the chorus of the song the music video changes from the street to all the crazily flashing lights on her as she dances crazily to the camera . Another thing which relates to the craziness to the video is the burning car which shows the extreme feeling she has and how it is like fire.
"Praise You" by Fatboy Slim.

This video "Praise You" by Fatboy Slim is a Big Beat/House music video which was shot on a random mall in the USA by 5 different hand held cameras dotted around the dancers in the video. This makes the video more reliable because it makes the video seem as the audience is actually watching the audience making it more realistic also making it seem like it is actually just ordinary people. Because the video was shot randomly the reactions of the people looking oddly while watching the dancers in the mall are real making the video also more realist making it more reliable. The dancers are also doing a odd dance which represents the song because it gives off the impression that people should be praise for the way they are even if they are a bit odd. The fact that it is a group dance contributes with the line 'We've come a long, long way together, brings the audience in a union of what is going on in the video. Another example of this in the video is when a person in the audience turns off the music while the dancers are dancing but instead of them getting mad the main dancers jump hugs him and then turns on the music again.
"November Rain" by Guns N' Roses
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SbUC-UaAxE&ob=av2e

This video "November Rain" by Guns N' Roses is a rock music video is a good representation of a rock n' roll life style which is directly shown in the first part of the music video where the camera zooms into Gun N' Roses on stage with a full band/small orchestra. The shot also shows the crowd that are watching the band which is very big giving off the feel that the band are living this extreme high life. The stage also brings off this dark setting which gives off the impression of the dark side to the rock n' roll life style which links in well with the other half of the video which is about the lead singer marriage to a very good looking model and then her dying on their wedding day. This extreme way of life is attractive to the band's fan because it is what they desire. Another example for how extreme/expersive this music video is is when Slash, the guitar is playing his guitar solo outside a desserted church which is filmed by a hellicopter camera which is the most expensive shot you can do.
